Is the adhesive or mechanical behavior of glass ceramics influenced by the adhesive layer application after etching and silanization?

Aim: This review investigated the effect of applying an adhesive after surface treatment glass-ceramics on bonding, mechanical or clinical behavior. Methods: Studies comparing adhesive, behavior glass-ceramics, with without application treatment, were included. Searches performed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web Sciences databases (January 2022), resulting 15 included studies. Results: Regarding evaluated outcomes, 13 studies assessed bond strength, 2 biaxial flexural strength 1 study fatigue failure load, while no evaluating outcomes was It possible to observe that ceramic unfavorable did not influence outcomes. Conclusion: Most evidence available literature shows does improve glass-ceramics.
